Favorite Companies
Favorite Companies (/favorite-companies, in the Library group) is your prioritized target list — and for any company with an integrated ATS (Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, etc.), favoriting it auto-feeds that company's new postings into your Job Search so you don't miss roles.
TL;DR — Add the companies you'd want to work for; ATS-backed ones become a live feed into Job Search. Re-evaluate the list roughly once a quarter.
Quick start
- Open Library → Favorite Companies
- Click + Find company
- Search by name in the modal — type 2+ characters and the global directory suggests matches as you type
- Click a result to favorite it
- Optionally add notes — what role you'd want, who you know there, the context for why this company is on your list
The favorited company shows on your list with: logo, name, industry, headcount, HQ, ATS source (if available), open job count.
Adding a company that's not in the directory
If your search comes up empty (small company, niche industry, very new):
- Click + Add manually in the search modal
- Fill in the basics — name is required, everything else optional
- Save — the company is added to your personal favorites only (not the global directory)
You can still attach notes and track it. If we add an ATS integration for that company later, the platform automatically upgrades your manual entry with the official record.
ATS feeds
A favorited company with an integrated ATS gets its open roles auto-pulled twice daily and dropped into your Job Search page under Pending Review. The job's Source column shows the company name + the ATS provider.
The currently-integrated ATS providers (as of this writing): Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Personio, BambooHR, Breezy, Workday, iCIMS, Oracle Cloud HCM, Phenom, ApplyToJob (JazzHR).
If a company you favorite isn't on that list, you'll only see their open roles when an aggregator (Adzuna, Jooble, etc.) picks them up — usually less timely.
Company detail page
Click any company on your list to open its detail page:
- Header — logo, name, website, industry, size, HQ
- Open roles — current postings the platform has on file for this company, with "Add to Job Search" actions
- Your notes — private to you
- Your contacts — Networking contacts whose
companyfield matches (auto-linked)
The "your contacts" section is convenient for spotting whether you already know someone there before you apply cold.
Removing a favorite
Click the heart icon on the row (filled = favorited). It toggles off; the company stays in the directory but stops feeding new jobs.
Existing jobs from that company already in your Job Search aren't deleted — they continue through their pipeline as before.
Bulk import
Click Import CSV on the page header. Expected columns:
name,domain,notes
The matcher tries to look each row up in the global directory by domain (or by name as a fallback). Matches are favorited; misses are flagged so you can decide whether to add them manually.
Tips
- Keep the list short. 10–25 companies is healthy. 100+ means you're not really targeting — you're just hoping.
- Favorite before you're actively searching. Companies usually post their best roles to their own ATS first; you want the auto- feed catching those days before they hit aggregators.
- Use notes for "what role I'd want here". When the company posts a role, the notes context helps you decide quickly whether it's the one.
- The contacts auto-link is naive — it matches by exact
company-name string. If your contact's
companyis "Acme Corp" and the directory has "Acme, Inc.", they won't link. Edit the contact to match.
