What's new

Headline changes, newest first. Smaller fixes go straight into the git log; this page covers the things you'll feel as a subscriber.

June 2026

  • Interview round cheatsheet (2026-06-20). Once a round has answered questions, a Cheatsheet button on the round prep panel turns each prepared answer into a one-line reminder you can scan in a single view. Re-running only fills in questions that don't have a cheatsheet yet; each line also has its own regenerate button for when you've edited an answer.

  • Mark jobs as No Response (2026-06-20). Jobs → Overview → the Applied tile has a Mark No Response button. Pick an age (default 30 days) and every job you applied to longer ago than that — and haven't moved since — is marked No Response. No-Response jobs show under the Rejected tab, where a new Rejected | No Response filter lets you switch between the two.

  • Source Performance is now admin-only (2026-06-20). The Reports → Source Performance tab is restricted to administrators and no longer appears for regular subscribers. The other Reports tabs are unchanged.

  • Notes & Quotes split (2026-06-20). Notes moved to Enablement → Notes (/enablement/notes); Quotes now live under Repository → Quotes (/quotes). The old /notes URL 308-redirects to /quotes. Each view shows only its own kind with a single "New note" or "New quote" button.

  • Nav rename (2026-06-20). Sidebar sections renamed for clarity: Self Reflection→Reflection (/reflection), Learning→Enablement (/enablement), Your Brand→Brand, Library→Repository (/repository), Market Signals→Indicators (/indicators), Manage Jobs→Jobs. Old URLs 308-redirect to the new paths.

  • Refresh AI Tips (2026-06-19). The AI Tips tab now has a Refresh tips button. If a role's cached tips were generated before the "questions the interviewer may ask you" section existed, a note prompts you to refresh — regenerating brings that section (and its add-to-prep questions) in.

  • Documents tab reads the current status (2026-06-19). The Job Details → Documents tab no longer occasionally shows the "engage with this job first" message for jobs that are already Interested / Applied / Interviewing (it now trusts the live status instead of a stale cache), and shows the friendly status label (e.g. "Interviewing").

  • Stage-tuned article suggestions (2026-06-19). Learning → Articles now has its own "Reading the {your stage} stage benefits from" section — the articles counterpart to the Books page's reading card. It generates AI article suggestions targeting your weakest self-eval domains; add any straight to your list. (Shown on stage-tuned plans.)

  • Format job descriptions you type (2026-06-19). Editing a job's Description now uses a rich-text editor (bold, italic, underline, headings, bullet/numbered lists, links) instead of a plain text box, so manually entered descriptions can be formatted — not just the formatting captured automatically from a source posting.

  • Simpler round prep list (2026-06-19). A job's per-round Interview Prep now shows every question in one flat table — expand · Category · Answered/Unanswered · Question — instead of collapsible category groups behind Answered / direction filters. Click a row to open its answer editor.

  • Practice: sticky Show answer (2026-06-19). In interview Practice, Show answer moved to the top action row (before Shuffle) and is now a sticky toggle — once on, answers stay revealed as you move through every question until you turn it off.

  • Interview round AI is now interview-specific (2026-06-19). In a job's Interview Prep, AI tweak / AI draft now tailors the answer to that job's description and the round's stage and drops it in for review — it no longer rewrites your shared bank-default answer. The Dictate button also moved next to Save. See Interview Prep.

  • Reading List is now Books and Articles (2026-06-19). Continuous Learning splits the old Reading List into separate Books and Articles tabs (Videos keeps its own), each opening with a one-row summary above its list. Old /learn/reading-list links redirect to Books. See Reading List.

  • Saved jobs tab (2026-06-19). Job Search merges the Pending Review and Interested tabs into one Saved tab. Use the Review and Interested checkboxes there to narrow the list; the underlying statuses and the Apply flow are unchanged. See Job Search.

  • Tidier top menu (2026-06-19). The section sub-nav is more compact and no longer collapses tabs into a "…" menu when you move a window between monitors — every tab stays visible.

  • Empty Job Details panel (2026-06-19). When a list has no rows, Job Search now shows a placeholder details panel ("Select or add a job to see its details") instead of blank space.

  • Add AI-suggested questions straight to an interview's prep (2026-06-19). The AI Tips panel's interview questions can now be added to a specific interview round's prep — not just your Question Bank. Pick the destination below the questions; the per-round option appears once a job is Interviewing with a round set up. AI Tips are also now available while a job is Interviewing (previously only Interested or Applied). See Interview Prep.

  • Drag-and-drop Add Job now looks the posting up for you (2026-06-19). Drop a job link onto the manual Add Job form and we fetch the posting server-side to fill Title, Company, Location, Remote type, salary, posting date, and description into any blank fields — including LinkedIn links, resolved through LinkedIn's public job view. We never overwrite what you've already typed. See Job Search.

  • Job Search opens on Overview (2026-06-19). Clicking Job Search now lands on the Overview tab instead of Pending Review.

  • Resume Match — score your resume against any job (2026-06-14). A new Resume Match tab in the Job Details drawer uses AI to compare your resume against the job's description and returns an overall match score plus per-category scores with "why this score" and "how to improve" guidance. The Top fixes list surfaces the three weakest areas first so you know exactly what to edit. Resume source priority: a resume uploaded to the job → your active profile resume → prompted upload. Every run is saved, so you can track your score improving as you revise. Monthly quotas by tier: Free 1, Managerial 5, Leadership 15, Executive 40 (admin-adjustable). Viewing past results is always free — credits are only used when running or re-running a match. Jobs without a description text cannot be matched. See Resume Match.

  • Learning overview is now a momentum dashboard (2026-06-12). The Learning landing page replaces static lifetime counts with Continue where you left off (in-progress courses, books, and videos with one-click actions), Recently finished (with your ratings), a 14-day skill-building activity strip tied to the Insights cadence ring, and headline stats: in progress now, finished this month (with last-month comparison), queued up next, and certificates earned.

  • Insights polish (2026-06-12). Cadence ring labels moved below the Log button so multi-line titles no longer knock the rings out of alignment; Follow-up Reminders shows each overdue count directly above its own sub-panel (contacts over Contacts, firms over Search firms); and the Goals panel now keeps one already-hit goal visible instead of hiding every completed goal behind the top-3 cut.

  • Cadences credit real work automatically (2026-06-12). Marking a job Applied (from the job panel, an edit, or Add Job straight into Applied) now logs a "Job search & review" activity for that day, and saving or adding interview questions/answers logs an "Interview prep" activity (once per day) — so "This week's cadences" rings light up without pressing Log. Manual logging still works as before. Counting starts from this release; past applications aren't backfilled.

  • Job details: info and history side by side (2026-06-12). On the job Details tab, the Job Info card and the History timeline now share one row on wide screens (stacking on narrow ones) instead of History sitting below the fold.

  • Mark Complete from the reading viewer (2026-06-12). The Read Article / Watch Video popup now has a Mark Complete button in its header that sets the item to Finished (with today's date) without opening the drawer. For YouTube and Vimeo the button unlocks when the video actually ends; for articles and other videos it unlocks after an estimated reading/watch time.

  • Public portfolio redesign + Courses section (2026-06-12). The public /profile/<slug> page now puts your writing (Brand voice, Published, Recent posts, Speaking) in the main column with a learning rail on the right: Bookshelf (books with cover art), Courses (a new opt-in section pulling in-progress and completed courses from Continuous Learning), and Articles & videos. Empty sections hide instead of showing a placeholder, and your email now sits below the action buttons instead of between them. In /brand/portfolio, Preview opens a popup (with an "Open in new tab" option), the Preview/Save buttons stay on the title line, and the Visibility panel moved below Identity and Sections. The Jobs list also fits its panel without sideways scrolling — the Status column no longer gets cut off.

  • Job detail panel reorganised (2026-06-11). AI Tips and Notes moved out of the Details tab into their own tabs; tab order is now Details · Application Q&A · Documents · AI Tips · Notes · Interviews · Interview Prep (the last two appear once a job is Applied). The status buttons — Apply, Mark Interested, Mark Not Relevant, Mark Applied, Mark Closed — now stay in the header on every tab, and each tab adds its own action (Edit, Add a Question, Upload, Generate AI Tips, Add Round, AI Prep). "View full posting" is now View Job Source and opens the original posting in a new tab. The Job Search filter row (Time / Search / Clear) moved to sit directly above the job list, and the Question Bank is now a two-column split — questions on the left, the selected answer's editor on the right — matching the Job Search layout.

  • Daily Plan merged into Insights (2026-06-07). The Daily Plan sidebar entry has been removed and /daily-plan now redirects to /insights. Cadence tracking, the "This week's cadences" rings, the per-cadence Log buttons, and the recent-activity feed all continue to work — they now live directly on the Insights page.

  • Courses. A new paid Continuous Learning surface at /learn/courses: track courses by status (Want to take → In progress → Completed) and growth area, and get suggestions drawn from your weakest Self Reflection domains — catalog-curated first, with an optional Get AI ideas assist. Click Track on any suggestion to add it.

May 2026

  • Daily Plan is cadence-based, not time-tracked. Time monitoring is gone — no more minute targets or auto-tracking. Daily Plan now shows the recommended cadences for your career status (e.g. "5+ outreach per day", "2 search firms per week") and tags each "Touched this week" or "Not yet". Two tabs: This week and Log activity.

  • Career Growth report rebuilt. Reframed from time-logged to what-compounds: a this-quarter cadence scorecard, a longitudinal moat read-out (brand publishing streak, network freshness, pipeline conversion, self-eval delta, reading depth, pitch velocity, outcomes per quarter), and a year-over-year compare.

  • Reports Pipeline tab. "Pipeline Velocity" and "Job Pipeline" merged into one Pipeline tab — velocity stats on top, kanban below. Switching tabs now always refetches current data.

  • Videos in the Reading List. Videos join Books and Articles as a first-class kind — same notes, AI summary, and list. The Summary view gained a Currently reading strip (cover + view/ add-note buttons), and the item drawer is now tabbed (Details / AI Summary / Notes).

  • AI reading suggestions. "Suggest with AI" on the Books, Articles, and Videos tabs recommends items targeting the weakest domains from your latest Self-Evaluation. For videos it draws on reputable sources (TED, LeadDev, Lenny's Podcast, Talks at Google, …).

  • Self-Evaluation upgrades. Completed evals render each domain as its own tab with a Strengths & areas-to-grow summary at the top (AI-written when a provider is configured, deterministic otherwise). The re-evaluation cooldown now counts from when you complete an eval, not when you start it, and the disabled Start button explains why on hover.

  • Goals: more cadences + cleaner filters. Added Bi-Weekly and Semi-Annual cadences (now seven total), labelled filter dropdowns replace the old button rows, and a goal you add mid-period is credited for everything already done in that period (so adding your "1 self-eval / quarter" goal right after completing one reads 1 / 1, not 0 / 1).

  • Pending Review auto-archive. Jobs left in Pending Review past a threshold (default 30 days, admin-configurable) auto-move to Not Relevant so the inbox doesn't pile up. Subscribers set to "Employed — market awareness only" stop receiving new platform-fed jobs entirely.

  • Interview Prep redesign. The sidebar entry is renamed My Question Bank. The page itself is now a flat per-question library with one default answer per question — no more stage tabs. Direction (They ask me / I ask them) moved to a top-of-page menu. Stage-specific tailoring lives inside each Job's Interview Prep tab: every scheduled interview round gets its own prep panel with a picker that pulls from your bank, and per-round answers you can edit per audience. The picker has a category dropdown and a checklist table; "+ Add personal" lets you author a new question inline with an Add to Question Bank checkbox to control whether it lands in your bank too. Round prep also brings back Preview Q&A + Export to PDF. Existing per-stage prep was consolidated into a Phone Screen round per job — your answers carry forward, you just need to split them into the correct rounds.

  • Build Your Brand is now a dashboard. The single long page becomes a summary at /brand with one card per surface, plus dedicated pages for Voice, Goals, Pitches, Calendar, Portfolio, Outcomes, Amplifiers, Playbook, and Reading. A horizontal sub-menu at the top of the page lets you jump between them.

  • Top page menus. Manage Jobs, Daily Plan, Reading List, Reports, Settings, Interview Prep, and Build Your Brand all moved their tab strip up to a horizontal menu in the top app header. The active tab is now in the URL — bookmarks and refresh restore the tab you were on. Manage Jobs and Reading List menu entries also show count badges.

  • Reading List landing. When you visit Reading List without picking Books or Articles, you now land on a summary view — total counts, currently reading, finished this month, and a recent additions strip. Books and Articles each open the full grid for that kind.

  • Apply now updates status. Clicking the Apply button on a NEW or Interested job inside the detail drawer flips the job to Applied automatically (and opens the company URL in a new tab). The "Jobs applied this week" goal advances without you having to remember to update status.

  • Sidebar Manage Jobs counter. The left-nav entry now shows a small blue badge with how many jobs are sitting in Pending Review — your inbox at a glance.

  • Printed PDFs no longer say "about:blank". The page footer on Export to PDF now shows your current page URL (or no URL, depending on browser) instead of about:blank. You can still remove the footer entirely via "Headers and footers" in the browser print dialog.

April 2026

  • Goals system. Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets across the three career-level tiers. 22 exec-focused templates included; custom metrics supported. Surfaces on the Dashboard (top 3 most-urgent), the Goals page (full management), and the Reports → Career Growth tab (12-period hit-rate strip). See Goals.

  • Three-tier subscription model. PRO retired; replaced with Managerial / Leadership / Executive, sold on Monthly and Annual cycles. Existing PRO subscribers were migrated to Leadership (the middle tier). See Subscription.

  • Pipeline → Reports tab. The Kanban board moved from a standalone sidebar entry to a tab inside Reports. Existing /pipeline URLs redirect to /reports?tab=pipeline; deep-links

    • browser refresh both restore the tab.
  • Reading List redesign. Cards switched from cover-on-top to a horizontal layout (cover left, status pill right). Long titles now clamp cleanly with a hover tooltip showing the full title. Reading List import gained a Tags column for generic CSVs (Goodreads exports already auto-handled it).

  • Job Details overhaul. Single 3×3 field grid replaces the two-column split; status and deadline are read-only by default with a single Edit button that flips every field at once. Header gets dedicated buttons for Generate AI Tips, Add/Edit Notes, Application Q&A, Documents Upload — context-aware per active tab.

  • Goal-aware dashboard. Top 3 most-urgent active goals now surface above the rest of the dashboard panels.

  • Manage Jobs default sort. Now "newest in status first" (statusChangedAt desc) so each status tab shows what just arrived. Pipeline already worked this way.

  • Application Deadline timezone fix. Setting the deadline to today no longer renders as "1d overdue" in negative-offset timezones (PT/MT/CT/ET).

  • Session timeout dropped from 2h to 30 min, with interaction-gated activity tracking — pure tab presence no longer accrues "search time" toward your daily plan.

March 2026

  • Reports tab pass — paired cards (Investment & Momentum + By-type investment, Activity in window + Conversion rates, Pipeline Funnel + Time-in-stage). NOT_RELEVANT excluded from the funnel. Keyword Heatmap now 3-column (Keywords + Locations + Exclusions). Top Companies has an Overall ↔ Favorites toggle.

  • Interview Process Phase 1 — round tracking, participants table, AI prep + debrief, .ics export.

  • Reading Notes cross-item view at /reading-list/notes.

  • Goodreads CSV import + URL article import with metadata fetch.
